# CEP

Your CEP is your sovereign financial identity on Tythe. It anchors your compliance status, your wallet history, and your TCT score to a single portable identity you own and control.

#### What is a CEP?

A CEP is a decentralized identifier anchored on the `did:cheqd` network. It unifies your verified identity, linked wallet addresses, and on-chain credit history into one resolvable profile. Integrated markets resolve your CEP to verify your compliance status and read your TCT score without ever seeing your personal data.

#### Key Properties

* **Self-sovereign:** Only you can add resources to your CEP. No institution holds or controls it.
* **Portable:** Recognized across every integrated market in the Tythe ecosystem.
* **Privacy-preserving:** Markets receive a cryptographic pass/fail signal. Raw PII is never exposed.
* **Persistent:** Your DID exists permanently on the cheqd network regardless of Tythe's operations.

### Creating Your CEP

**Step 1. Complete zk-KYC**\
Go to the Tythe Dashboard and complete identity verification via Billions. Your passport and liveness check are processed entirely by Billions using zero-knowledge attestation. Tythe receives only a cryptographic confirmation of your verification and sanctions status. Your documents are never stored by Tythe.

**Step 2. Mint your DID**\
Once verification is complete, a permanent `did:cheqd` identifier is minted. This is your root identity on Tythe. It cannot be transferred, duplicated, or reassigned.

**Step 3. Link your primary wallet**\
Connect your primary wallet to the Tythe Dashboard and sign the linking transaction. This proves you control the address. The wallet is recorded as a DID-Linked Resource on your CEP. All historical and future on-chain activity from this address immediately becomes part of your credit profile.

Your CEP is now live. The TCT scoring engine is active on your profile.

#### Linking Additional Wallets

Every unlinked wallet is invisible to Tythe. Positions held on integrated markets from unlinked addresses contribute nothing to your TCT score and receive no CEW enhancements.

To link a wallet, connect it to the Tythe Dashboard and sign the linking transaction from that wallet. The signature proves you control the address. Once linked, all historical and future activity from that address is aggregated into your CEP automatically.

CEW enhancements only apply to transactions made from wallets linked to your CEP. Interactions from unlinked addresses are treated as anonymous. Link every active address before opening new positions.

#### DID Structure

Every resource attached to your CEP is stored as a DID-Linked Resource on the cheqd network:

#### Proof of Personhood

Adding a Proof of Personhood credential (World ID or equivalent) to your CEP is optional. It grants a fixed **+5 TCT boost** applied at your next Refresh and strengthens your profile's Sybil resistance.

Connect your World ID credential via the Tythe Dashboard. It attaches to your DID as a DID-Linked Resource automatically.

#### CEP Status

Your CEP has three possible states:

1. **Active:** Full protocol access. CEW enhancements apply on all integrated markets.
2. **Flagged / Frozen:** Triggered by compliance revocation, a severe nEvent, or verified exploit involvement. TCT is frozen. Market access is restricted. Reinstatement requires re-verification through Billions or resolution via the Justice Arm.
3. **Deactivated:** You can deactivate your CEP at any time from the Tythe Dashboard. Deactivation is only permitted when all Tythe-enhanced positions are fully closed. Once deactivated, your DID is marked inactive on the cheqd Status List. Your on-chain history remains on the blockchain. Reactivation requires completing the CEP creation flow from Step 1.

Deactivating and reactivating your CEP does not erase your credit history. On reactivation, your zk-KYC identity and linked wallet addresses are matched against existing protocol records. Your full history, including any nEvents and slash events, is reinstated automatically. Deactivation is not a reset.

#### Primary Wallet and Recovery

Your primary wallet is the wallet designated as your credit anchor at CEP creation. It can be updated at any time by signing a reassignment transaction from the wallet you want to promote to primary. No other wallet signature is required. Wallet addresses are resources attached to your DID, not the DID itself. Changing your primary wallet does not affect your credit history.

If you lose access to all linked wallets, contact <support@tythe.network>. Recovery requires re-verification through Billions to prove the same identity maps to your CEP DID. Once confirmed, a new wallet can be linked and designated as primary.
